This event has ended! Thanks to everyone who participated! It was a lot of fun!

Instructions

  • Save this image
  • Draw something on it!
  • Post it with the tag #Cohost Community Canvas
  • I'll update this post with everyone's drawings!

Artists of all skill levels welcome! Don't worry about making it look super nice, just relax and have fun! There's also no theme -- draw whatever you want! (Let's try and keep it relatively safe for work, though)
I might move or resize your drawing if it's too big or if multiple people end up drawing in the same spot.

Let's fill up the canvas!

in reply to @ChrisStapley's post:

I'm not sure! It was fun but it was a lot of work, if I do another one it probably wouldn't be very soon. Definitely open to doing another one if the interest is there, but I don't know how many people would want to participate. Honestly wasn't sure when I wanted to call this one "done" either, there's still room for more drawings but nobody's touched it in a week, so I'm thinking it's maybe run out of steam. If you want an excuse to doodle something, feel free to just add another drawing -- I was thinking of doing that myself. Now that the post is past the peak of people's interest I'm not as concerned about anyone taking up too much space

I realize it was probably a bit rude of me to not have responded, I actually intended to do another thing, I downloaded the file but it just didn't happen. :-(
Sorry.
I'll maybe try to repost it on qtoid.

oh, no worries! you were never obligated to respond or to draw anything, I just figured you didn't have anything else to say and didn't feel like drawing anything else and that's totally fine.

Also, no idea what qtoid is.

Qtoid is a mini social network on the gaming/blogging website Destructoid. A kind of light twitter with just a timeline.
They fired a guy we liked who was a bit of a community embassador abruptly and for no reason plus the frontpage has been steadily getting worse so many of us moved here and use the #qtoid tag to stay in touch.
But I realize that just adding the tag on a repost doesn't make it show up in my followed tags so I'm not too sure it's working as planned.

Huh, I hadn't heard about any of that.

And yeah, tags added on reposts don't put the post into the respective tag feed unless that tag was on the original post as well -- my understanding is it's an intentional feature so that people don't get their posts dragged too far outside their intended circle.

Don't worry about it, though -- my intention in sharing it again wasn't "get as many eyes on this as possible!", I just wanted to let people know I planned to stop updating it soon
