I'm not sure to what degree I'd trust this random fitness blogger on this whose sole citation is a Facebook post, particularly when Occam's Razor suggests a much simpler reason for why certain people might think sriracha tastes different after a global pandemic which had "severe smell and taste impairments" as a major symptom. Like, I wouldn't be surprised if it tastes somewhat different after the acquisition, but personally, I have a pretty good sense of taste (and have never had COVID, thankfully) and haven't noticed much of a difference over the last however many years.
