I guess it feels appropriate to start off with the record that make me think about doing this in the first place. or second place (but you'll never find that blog unless you know me).
I still love this record, it still gets my bones fizzing. hard to describe otherwise, ostensibly a breakcore record, Saleforce (and Lauren Bousfield more generally) does energy and tension like nothing (and noone) else. it lowkey gives me anxiety (complimentary). there are elements from across the electronic *cores, and it is just so frickin' dense, like. so much is crammed into the time that I struggle to parse everything going on - I come back again and again and it is like experiencing it for the first time. even if it's not exactly your thing, keep an open mind and you'll have an interesting, challenging time at the least. also ada rook is here for a absolutely wild feature, and in this house we stan t-girl cybergrind.
trying to be at least faintly articulate is fun, it's been a while since I've written anything. I'm not especially well versed in music theory, so pickings will be slim in that department for the time being. but I do spend a lot of time thinking about why I like the music I do, so hopefully it won't just be a big thumbs up in as many words or more for the most part.
