I like how this format builds anticipation as you scroll down for the new one

in keeping with the OED's word of the year, maybe these should be goblin modes...
...actually it occurs to me that with this proliferation of different goblin types, we're reclaiming "goblin" from TSR: before D&D "goblin" just meant "monster" or "threat" or "spirit." The Gygax gave it a specific taxonomy and 12 or so goblinoids, each with their own racial specializations. But now "it's a goblin" is back in the vague "be afraid" space it ought to be.
Gygaxian pedantic & arbitrary monster taxonomy casts a long and terrible shadow. See people arguing that any 2 legged 2 winged draconian being is wyvern ,4 legged 2 winged a dragon , no wings no legs a wyrm/worm etc
Time Life books also got into this game in the 80s with their folklore/or myth or whatever series, which I had a bunch of. If anyone ever talks about an Amphiptere (2 wings, no legs) you can be 99% sure they got it from there. Although the 2 = wyvern, 4 = dragon thing is from English heraldry, I believe. Which is effectively a fossil record for dragons.
It is nice but it startes to take a lot of scrolling just to get down. And when a few posts of it align in quick re-share, it is basically the whole screen of scrolling.
