Liberals will see the edifices of capitalism on shaky foundations and do everything they can to save them in preference to anything better, because at heart they have the same politics as the fash.

Authoritarianism is preferable to the liberal mind over any meaningful change, even if that change is for the better of all.

Liberalism is fundamentally passive and permissive, making it complicit when paired with hateful ideology like fascism, as it’s too afraid to make a real decision or take actual meaningful action to stop it.

The fun part about being queer/disabled BIPOC growing up in 21st century America is getting kicked down to the lowest depths while growing up, with liberal politicians saying they'll help, but they're only there for the vote; the marginalized are left in the cold while their infrastructure falls apart. White liberals/leftists would get on our cases for rocking their boat, or even saying something.

But hey! Securing money and power in their court, stepping all over my people otw to their comfort zone, and keeping us in check so we don't inconvenience them. Stay fashy. 👍

This was one of the best points I heard from the socialism talks from Haymarket this year. Someone asked 'well when we smash the state, how will we protect the marginalized folks that will be hurt by the loss of the state support?' and the immediate follow up was 'marginalized folks aren't being protected at all in the current system, nearly anything else will be an improvement.' I keep thinking about that. It helps recenter me when I'm not sure how to proceed.

'marginalized folks aren't being protected at all in the current system, nearly anything else will be an improvement.' This is completely true. If society ever crumbles, the first on the line are the elderly and disabled. The USA is too likely to go into mass hysteria to save the individual, completely forgetting about the power of community and power to agree on guidelines (law, anyone?) to protect our most vulnerable.
