Since the original post over in twitter Sean McCoy's dungeon23 challenge has gathered quite a bit of attention. The aim is to create a 12 level megadungeon, adding one room to it every day for a year. It's an interesting challenge but for me, it's not going to work as originally envisaged. I'm just not that into dungeons or room crawls.

Thankfully I'm not the only one and we've been bouncing some ideas for a sci-fi take under the tag of space23, which is what I'll probably go with. Right now my aim is to buy a small daily diary and add a series of repeating prompts for each day. These will all be related to the Dyson Eclipse and should help me flesh out details of the world. I think I'll do 28 world building prompts and for longer months use the extra days for mechanical design.

Will I keep it up over an entire year? I've no idea, but even a few months of work on it will be a valuable addition to my existing plans for the setting.

I'll edit this post as I work out the repeating prompts but for now I have Habitat, Array, Vessel, Event, Individual, Faction, Hidden truth, Location
