I finally picked up this book about the secret and ultra detailed maps that the Soviets produced during the Cold War and while I've not gotten far into it I'm fairly certain that I want to do some sort of mapping game next year. I think it would be a great way to turn Project Cassandra and Numb3r Stations into a little trilogy and an opportunity to collaborate with Albi again.
Right now I'm just letting ideas percolate. I think rather than a map making game I want it to put a map of a region in front of the player(s) and ask them to do something with it. I'm not quite sure what yet but I like the idea of having them going around marking a series of locations on the map. It could be that they're spies undertaking their mission or maybe they're counterintelligence tracking down a cell by piecing together evidence. There's a lot of potential there and it will be interesting what comes of it. For now I'm just going to let the idea sit in my head and see what I can come up
