Tonight we made something ephemeral, something too beautiful(/complicated/circumstantial) to be made ever again, probably. Let me try to catalogue it for you. It was... soup-esque, and honestly one of the most transcendent meals I think I've ever had. There was something, like,,, smoky? Happening??? And it was SO complex and added SO much. This is a picture of Erika's but over mine I added a little float of olive oil cuz there's not much fat in this.

  • Broccoli baked with sesame seeds and soy sauce
  • chicken breast cooked plainly
  • chicken breast cooked with some store bought teriyaki
  • kimchi
  • rancho gordo moro beans cooked with dill and chili flakes
  • veggie water left over after making collards with lemon and garlic and salt and pepper
** ALSO with this weird combo we made for the fridge of chicken breast drippings and soy sauce
  • dollop of nonfat greek yogurt

Well it's kinda how we make lots of food, shitloads of multiply-applicable separate ingredients, proteins and veggies, and hmmmm what's a fun way to combine THIS and ohhh that chicken has GOT to get eaten today, etc etc. I think it's so beautiful!!!!!
