Tonight we made something ephemeral, something too beautiful(/complicated/circumstantial) to be made ever again, probably. Let me try to catalogue it for you. It was... soup-esque, and honestly one of the most transcendent meals I think I've ever had. There was something, like,,, smoky? Happening??? And it was SO complex and added SO much. This is a picture of Erika's but over mine I added a little float of olive oil cuz there's not much fat in this.
- Broccoli baked with sesame seeds and soy sauce
- chicken breast cooked plainly
- chicken breast cooked with some store bought teriyaki
- kimchi
- rancho gordo moro beans cooked with dill and chili flakes
- veggie water left over after making collards with lemon and garlic and salt and pepper
** ALSO with this weird combo we made for the fridge of chicken breast drippings and soy sauce - dollop of nonfat greek yogurt
Also after I came home from the grocery store with alarming $3/lb chicken breast ๐ฌ because my girlfriend and I have different incomes so I try to get the most economical of anything because we split costs, they were like "yo this chx is Suspect, maybe we could spend more than three dollars a pound on the meat we eat", I have now declared myself Meat Daddy and I will be receiptlessly purchasing extremely chichi meat which graduated with honors and slept in silk sheets all their life before being gently humanely sung to death
