maybe it's time to go through a metal phase... recc me your favorite metal albums from the last ~20 years? I like baroness, mastodon, mare cognitum, probably others if I think about it. any subgenre, just not racist.

I only occasionally listen to metal, but some albums I’ve enjoyed:
- Converge + Chelsea Wolfe - Bloodmoon I
- Rhine - Ausland (bonus my brother in law plays bass for them)
- Not really metal, but The Icarus Line - Penance Soiree
Rhine album is great too... All the German names/refs make it feel like they're nazis or something, gotta watch yrself with Nordic shit in the metal space. Wish their name/album name were different but it doesn't appear with my research that they're into any of that shit so it feels ok. I know they're kinda family but still, I did my own research too
Ok finally, also enjoying The Icarus Line!! Not exactly metal yeah but really enjoyable. Kinda nassty sludgey rock, I'm here for it
