I actually got most of what I'd call the "mise en place" done. Fabric all cut, "stay stitching" complete (just a line 1/2" from edge to reduce unraveling stuff), and I have the pockets fake-serged.
I don't have an iron so can't continue that right now but am buying one as soon as it's ready for pickup at Target, I am having so much fun and I think I might really like these pants!! Not going to show progress photos till I'm done because the fabric itself will make you ooh and ahh :)))
I loooove creativity with a road map and learning!! And sewing is a really pure form of that! An example of something where prep and patience pays off, and preparation is like a form of procrastination haha that is actually useful!
Ok, I got the pockets internally hemmed (?? is that a term) and then sewn on!!! Next up, put the legs together, then waistband, then leg hems! Honestly it's really not bad, I think I can finish these in the next week, hopefully
I loooooove the rechost/add-on functionality of cohost. Amazing for projects!! Very pleased with some curved seams I just sewed. Finishing a couple of the same curved seams and THEN, I sew the front and back together! Y'all these are so gorgeous!!!!
Waistband has been created, ripped out, then fixed, and I'm very close to actually stitching it onto the pants!!! But I think I need to un-iron some shit first. Y'all these are looking so good. I am extremely proud and I'm not even done, which is so the ADHD way lmao
