Reading a gay little romance novel about a Portuguese Jewish merchant and a ship's captain and it's perfect and low stakes and will definitely culminate (that sounds gross but, well) in fucking, and I'll be done with the book by like, tomorrow. Gotta intersperse romance with my other reads. It's called Sailor's Delight by Rose Lerner and so far it's perfect and also the observant Jewish character is not one I've seen represented in romance fiction before and it's great.
