so you have this whole sport built around running punting and throwing and all that good fun good sport makes sense, but holding pentalys exist which is bizzare, you're not allowed to grab the guy to stop them you HAVE to slam into them as hard as you can which means really they are begging you to get a concussion, they keep
inventing new helmet technology that reduces the risk slightly of getting a concussion but with the rules they gave requiring you to slam into th guy as hard as you can it really isn't built to keep you from getting your brain turned into eggs. also jon bois said it best when he said "football is a sport about giving up" in his worst punt video because jesus man people just lose, you get to the 3rd at a 24-6 and you go "eh, we can lose, fuck it" and you just stop trying, you run a few yards, get to fourth down, and you punt, maybe you keep going, probably not, football teams just don't even really want to win most of the time they just don't care, the detroit lions are currently giving up the thanksgiving day game just for the hell of it, i really think that football needs to be tweaked, not fully reworked because football is fun, but comebacks are rare, mainly only ever seen in the superbowl, football's fucking weird man
