i watched a video recently about that one cannibal incest game that ppl doxxed a guy over ab how it's "just shock value" but i think that's stupid, there is real value to exploring taboo topics such as "it can make for an interesting story" or "i want to explore these aspects of my fucked up self in a healthy way" and to reduce this stuff to "shock value" to make an internet video essay about how normal you are is stupid, you're stupid for this, you can complain ab the game's writing all you want but the topic of the art does not detract from the value of the art because you don't like it, if in your video essay you complain ab how the fucked up stuff was in the description of the game and also overtly clear through the text in the game then you are not complaining ab it being used for shock value, but complaining ab it existing in the story at all, if you want to talk ab shock value talk ab the visual novels with sexual assault jumpscare or some shit, it isn't shock value if the topic itself is not played for shock, but just instead played as a story beat, that's called topic or idea, you're dumb
this being said i have not played incest cannibal game, i don't really have any interest in it but i like the art style a lot and from the synopsis that this girl gave it seems alright, i just think that more people need to understand "thing i don't like" doesn't mean "bad" and "weird thing i don't like" doesn't mean "edgy person tried to make me play his thing bc of SHOCK VALUE...what the HELL" because if that's what you're complaining about, they won, they beat you, you got bested, you fell for exactly the trap you are saying people are stupid for falling into, maybe just understand art has value subjectively and even if something makes you uncomfortable as a topic to explore, that doesn't make it bad you IDIOT you FOOL

anyway thanks for reading my way of avoiding making a youtube comment
