i'm all for passwordless authentication but all the implementations i see are higher-friction than Using My Password Manager
i would say "just give me public key authentication," because 1password is also my ssh-agent, but ssh keys are in general So Horrible (strikingly easy to steal and difficult+high-friction to protect)
sorry to all my employers before 1password shipped their ssh-agent but regardless of their policies i had that shit user-readable with no password just rawdogging it in my ~/.ssh. why? because typing in a password is a pain in the ass and i'm not doing it
