Honestly just blown away by everyone’s creativity the past couple days. It reminds me of the Good Times™ building twitter bots, which I really miss. There’s something uniquely magical about having your timeline filled with pockets of art in and among the more mundane things.
In addition to the weird art nerd stuff I’ve also seen hints of more regular social practices, which seem to bounce between shorter statements (be they goofs, observations, or otherwise) and longer, more thoughtful and introspective content, which is nice to see.
No idea what the balance of all this is gonna be when things settle down, but the fact that a single social space can house it all is really promising, and reminds me of my early days online. I don’t know if that’s more a factor of the affordances of the site or the composition of this relatively small group of users, but I’m here for it and will cherish it for as long as it exists :)
