three faces, three moods.

The end of spring break is upon us, I wanted to get one last photo shoot completed before I'm hellishly busy. I finally got around to experimenting with my multiple exposure idea. Here are the results.

I first experimented with having my brother move around, it's a nice effect but mostly depends on chance to get right.

I quickly realized the "two flash method" created the best shadows for the effect to work.

The next challenge was background separation.

ISO 400 - ƒ1.7 - 11sec
earlier I framed up with a distant background so there wouldn't be as much light bleed. Still nice, but not what I'm looking for.

ISO 400 - ƒ1.7 - 16sec
I also tried firing the flash in frame.

This is probably the best background, my brother's shadow creates a nice triangular leading line. I also love the night sky.

Out of all the photos, this is my favorite. We we tried choreographing the flash and movements, but it never looked good. This one was taken entirely by chance.
