GFS 1.8.14 is released, which means New Content!
I packed in everything I could until ZZT started screeching at me like a profound evil was being done to it (it was) so I'm now satisfied that the engine's limits are reached. I rolled everything I could think to do into this update and it will have to be enough, because she cannae take anymore, captain.
Check out the announcement here. A lot has been added:
- An alternate ending to the game if you pay off the truck early.
- A new late-game sequence introducing a new character (see above).
- A broader range of customer reactions, including pickier customers with stronger preferences (They really friggin love meat in Cruditan now holy moly)
- More feedback about what's happening during the fugitive sequence.
- In general, more reminders and tips have been added throughout the game.
- Some of the recipes have changed.
- A new page has been added to the recipe book to help you plan future menus
- Minor bugfixes, including an extreme-late-game item that players could buy for $0 now charging the correct amount.
- Weave has been upgraded to v3.3, which may have performance improvements over the previous version.
- Zeta has been upgraded to 1.0.6, which means some users whose displays were too small will have those scaled up to a more reasonable size by default.
