I'm saving this here for future reference
You know Shark Tank? That show you watched the British version of back in 2006 when you were sick in bed with the flu and it happened to be one of the most torrented files that day? (maybe that's just me) But you know how like, someone comes in all ready to defend their passion project, and mark cuban leans back and says "okay so where's the part that shoots marbles into your ass" and they're like "it... doesn't do that" and he says "listen ive been in the industry 30 years, I know when something is supposed to put marbles in your ass and this is one of those things. So when are you planning to add it in?" And they're like "it's an egg timer" and then he's like "Nope, doesn't zoot marbles up your ass, and for that reason, I'm out"
Sometimes a piece of media is not for you. That's okay. Criticizing a works fundamental nature is just directing the conversation to yourself under the pretense of discussing the thing. Maybe you feel the urge to let people know it's not for you - honey, they already know; don't hijack meaningful discussion around An Art just to make it about you. 201X twitter is long gone baby, we're past that now.
