daily knowledge: garfield's mom was shown in the comics in 1984, a year after she debuted in garfield on the town. this was part of an arc that ran from december 3rd to december 25th, which loosely adapted the special by having garfied get lost outside his home before making it back just in time for christmas. 
(also i have no idea who odie is supposed to be picturing here since his mom and dad are never shown. maybe he's imagining what it's like to have parents?)

most likely, though i find it funny that his mom is just him with lipstick and eyelashes. absolutely nothing to distinguish his dad.
