I'm doing research for a BGHoF stream, and something I've been hearing online is people saying that Palworld isn't just ripping off Pokemon designs, but also fan-made "fakemon" designs. I wanted to pull specific examples of this, but I haven't seen much beyond people just saying it.
The only two examples I've seen are one where it turns out the Palworld design came first, and it was an instance of convergent design, and one that does seem fairly close, but someone in the replies said it also looks like a Nexomon design.
I wouldn't be comfortable claiming that a company is explicitly lifting designs from fakemon artists based off one example alone, especially in a case where we may just be seeing a third party go at the idea of a "fire goat" and arriving at something similar. So, does anyone have other examples of fakemon that Palworld may be ripping off? I'm willing to believe it, but I don't want to go in on that statement just on word of mouth alone.
Also since the air surrounding all of this is volatile, know that I'm not going at this with some sort of premeditated intention to exonerate Palworld, I just want to be as sure as I can be before I start making an accusatory statement like that.
Edit: This game is way, way too boring to feature as a BGHoF stream. Still curious about the fakemon though.
