Unemployed 30-something slinger of too many words. Would happily invite people into my own little worlds if only anybody asked. I own an unwise amount of golf simulators (approaching four shelves now!) and otherwise tinker with retro computers and assorted video game nonsense.

My current socks are a set of Under Armour Men's Essential Low-cut socks, that I bought as a variety pack from their website around this time last year. They're comfortable enough in shoes, but the embroidered logo is somewhat annoying because it leaves an impression in my foot, and the material is, I guess, some tight, smooth weave that does not give it much traction on smooth floors. I live in a house with hardwood flooring, so unless I'm careful with how I walk, my feet will just slide on this floor.

I did have other socks, also Under Armour brand, that had a coarser weave that got much better traction on these floors, but as socks tend to do, they've gradually gone missing over the years and I currently only have three of them. Not three pair - three socks. Fact is, the new socks annoy me enough that I'm willing to shove them all in another drawer as fallbacks and just buy a whole new set of socks to replace them.

So here's where I need your help. Surely someone here on Cohost has strong enough opinions about socks to point me in some good directions for socks with better material that grips better around my house. I'm willing to spend... let's say reasonable, but bordering on unwise amounts of money on good socks.
