A lot of Stuff that gets brought into your room cannot be taken out to be used on other patients. So I was actively encouraged to straight up steal the lot of it - otherwise it'd be thrown away. That's why I now own a bunch of bandages and other wound care necessities.
When I last needed a hospital stay in 2019, they let me keep the pair of grippy socks they gave me during the physical therapy portion of my stay. They are still my favorite pair of socks to wear around the house.
I sort of wonder where I might get more - ideally without being hospitalized again.
