Unemployed 30-something slinger of too many words. Would happily invite people into my own little worlds if only anybody asked. I own an unwise amount of golf simulators (approaching four shelves now!) and otherwise tinker with retro computers and assorted video game nonsense.

I s2g this has been bothering me for months. I know this looks dumb as hell but im being serious. I cant find any pics of old Gatorade bottles showing the back of the label. I think he might have had weird looking eyes and not sunglasses โ€ฆ.

I do remember this, the best example I'm able to find is this VHS-taped TV commercial:

Hopefully I'm not re-treading the same places you looked, but the outline looks very similar to the "cool" face in this commercial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Q_wO2lff0k

I also wonder if it was related to their "Colors of Cool"/"Characters of Cool" sweepstakes they did to promote it in 1997, but I can't find any images to correlate with that.

edit: this page from the Wayback Machine, with a 5px frame of the same characters in reference to said "Characters of Cool" game. https://web.archive.org/web/19981203153613/http://www.gatorade.com:80/pages/gatorade/frost.html Sadly, still no pictures of the bottles themselves.

also a bit higher quality version is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xFuGbkBT0D8
