Roughly 4 months ago, someone stole my recumbent e-trike, having cut the lock. The damn thing was expensive, and the insurance money has unfortunately had to go towards bills and cost of living. I'm not in any danger of being unable to afford to live, yet, but in my unemployed, no-income state, I will not be able to save up to replace my ticket to the world (which, for the same specs as the one that was stolen, would run me about $5,000 USD). So I'm turning to crowdfunding.
I'd like to not feel like I'm stuck in this house. I'd love to not have to beg for rides whenever I want to do anything more than a mile away. I feel so bad for asking for help with something like this when so many others on this website need money just to survive. But if I don't ask for help, it's a guarantee nothing will happen. Place locks down in two more days so I want to surface this one more time. I've been trying to make do with public transit wherever necessary, but all the walking to and from the stations has me in a bit of pain. Getting around on that trike was an awful lot easier, and the bus tickets are adding up, price-wise.
