In the 1930s, Dennis Wheatley and J. G. Links wrote a series of fictional “crime dossiers”. These were books full of documents, photos, maps, and diagrams describing fictional crimes. The reader was meant to pour over these dossiers, searching for clues to unravel the case for themselves. They are like a way cooler version of Two-Minute Mysteries.
