I listened to a really interesting podcast yesterday. It was about Freedom!, a game about escaping slavery via the Underground Railroad. It was made by MECC (the Oregon Trail people), and it generated so much controversy that it was recalled.
It's interesting because even in the enlightened year of 2023 (just kidding), a game like Freedom! would still generate this sort of controversy (and more!), I think.
