I am also literally double fisting the Ever Crisis closed beta with Trails into Reverie which has been maddeningly bizarre already. Why are they withholding character's names in their spoken dialogue until they have these silly entry cards as if no one who hasn't played the 600 other other continuous hours of game in the franchise would be playing this game??? The prologue ended on a hilarious fakeout glitchy credits which just gave the characters' names followed by a little callback to the heartrending Trails to Azure end cards. Now I'm just bopping around with God's favorite femboy.
This franchise's insistence on bringing contemporary centrist imaginations of ultra-imperialist international relations in a fantasy setting is still some of the most bizarre shit I subject myself to read, but I simply cannot walk away when there are like 80 active and ongoing character arcs being spun still. Should I simply finish Legend of Galactic Heroes instead? Probably.
