I have two old laptops (i will not be retrieving the actual models):

  • A mystery ASUS I've been hanging on for like a decade after stopping using it that's running vista and can't power on without being plugged in.
  • A horrible touch screen HP from like 2014 that forced itself onto win10 the last time I booted it. This one is very large and requires an external fan.

Is there any kind of obvious project I should use these for? It feels like a waste to just chuck them, but it's getting a little ridiculous and I literally don't make enough money to keep this many belongings. I'm not hopeless when it comes to opening shit, but I also barley know how my own computer works. Not opposed to finally learning what linux actually is either.
