So I recently have gotten it in writing and explicit: icd10 f84.5 (autism spectrum disorder) in addition to what i already knew for sure: f90.0 (adhd)

Which is to say I am (at least) that audhd trans girl stereotype (probably more).

And while it hasn't really impacted the way I cope with myself on my own, or conceptualise me as an entity, it has been really helpful for explaining things to others.

(Of course, the most accurate explanation is in most cases a more schizo one, but getting a point across always involves some loss of information)

Another thing is just to stop thinking about the whole diagnostic process. I don't like long running open tasks in general so being able to, uh... "get that squared away" is a relief. Like, hey, I'm done now with this. Thanks, finally.

It's been unexpectedly liberating, primarily in ways I didn't anticipate. This might not be everyone's experience, but I'm surprised at the positive impact it has been.
