I made these back in June 2020; I'm reposting them now because I'm still pretty happy with them.
In order of increasing difficulty:
Rules: Fill some cells with stars so that each row, column, and bold region contains the indicated number of stars. Stars cannot be placed in adjacent cells that share an edge or corner.
i am trying the first one. what is the goal of the puzzle? i clicked on "rules" but it just says "Place a star into some of the cells." i think there's a page i am completely missing
the rules continue for a couple sentences after that first one. “1. Stars cannot be horizontally, vertically or diagonally adjacent. 2. The number at the top of the grid indicates how many stars are in each row, column and outlined region.”
i think i get it. the phrasing confused me, like i thought i had some setup but was yet to encounter a goal, but the goal is the conditions itself, which threw me
these are great. i’m stuck on the 3rd, there is some reduction logic i can’t figure out, but i feel so close. it reminds me of minesweeper in a great way

These are so great! I am a big picross and sudoku fan, but have never played star battle - these definitely scratch a similar itch. I used your rot13 tips elsewhere in this thread to solve the first four, but I’m devastatingly stuck on puzzle 5! Any recommendations for where to read up on star battle strategies? I would love to learn more about some things to look out for.

Puzzles 5 & 6 use a trick you don't normally have to think about in most Star Battle puzzles.
