puzzle + interactive fiction bnuuy

hello! i make logic puzzles and interactive fiction games. i'm good and nice

twitter (not used much anymore)
twitter.com/wisprabbit
crosshare (crossword blog, still active-ish)
crosshare.org/wisprabbit
puzz.link (logic puzzles, defunct because those bitches at twitter ate the api)
puzz.link/db/?via=wisprabbit

I made a little American-style crossword for Chosters to see if I can embed puzzles from Crosshare directly into Cohost. Give it a shot!

The automatic embed above is neat, and I'm glad for it. But Crosshare's own embed function gives you some iframe HTML to paste into your webpage so that visitors can play the puzzle directly in the page. It doesn't work in the Cohost post preview or drafts, though. I assume that iframes are caught by Cohost's post sanitization, since letting users embed arbitrary webpages into their posts would be a fucking bonkers security hole. Still, though, I wanted to try.

in reply to @wisprabbit's post:

we looked into this real briefly in the work chat and it looks like crosshare doesn't export oembed discovery headers, which may get iframely to display its fancy embed for free, or at worst would just require them to get in touch with iframely to get added to an allowlist.

oh, thank you! i'm sorry, i wasn't complaining about the embed and i didn't mean to cause work for you - i just figured it was always unlikely to work and that the automatic link embed was good enough (which it is!)
