It was a nice day, sunny but not horribly hot yet. I was in the garden a bit in the early afternoon, and then again a bit in the evening. I saw a bunch of different butterflies, but they are hard to take pictures of! It was nice seeing so many though.
This fly is a Tachina species (called "hedgehog fly" in German because of the butt spikes), and the flower is Rough hawksbeard. I saw a lot of different insects on this plant today, it appears to be a popular food plant, and one of the more abundant plants in bloom right now besides the everlasting pea.
I didn't hang out with the cow boys for very long because there were a lot of mosquitos and flies in the evening. Ryuk was there too, but further away. It seems like Mochi and Leonardo are hanging out together a bunch, maybe they're becoming friends.
