Does anyone have suggestions for where I could go after cohost?

Mastodon could be good if it weren't for the sheer drama of blocking other instances and admins with awful rules / behaviour and trying to mute the porn spam or nazi instances.

It's annoying because cohost has had the best set up with the tags and the rebugging and the public vs priv accounts, and also being very nsfw friendly.

I just want somewhere I can be a little freak in the corner and make a few friends but can feel generally safe from harassment / stalking

I really enjoy Pillowfort and can share a page of links for the active communities if that'd help anybody check it out, and if that appeals I've got resources to simplify the process of getting set up? Moving to new sites is always a drain, and I wanted to make it as easy as possible.

I think so? They're very supportive of adult creator and sex workers, and have fantastic safety/privacy/antiharassment tools + enforced policies.

Here's the list of most active communities if that helps you check out the vibe? https://www.pillowfort.social/posts/2952644

It also links to a longer list of general activity. If that appeals I'm happy to answer questions and have other resources to share, I'll just need to wait for like 10ish hours from now so I'm off phone

You're very welcome! The other resources I have lying around kind of build on the core "here are communities if you want to look at them" thing:

Here's a page of tips for getting the best out of the place:

And if any of that appeals, I can send over an invite or a link to the invite-waitlist page?

Happy to answer questions as needed, I love the place and have been enjoying seeing it grow.

i'm on both pillowfort n dreamwidth.
dreamwidth is basically like livejournal in structure, & pillowfort is like facebook, livejournal, and tumblr mashed together. it's really quite unique. i really enjoy it there ^-^
