Exhaustion is apt - after over 2 weeks travelling to Tokyo and hitting up every corner of every Mandarake there and then flying home wearing a tight n95 for 26 hours plus I am truly wiped. I'm glad i'm recovering from the jetlag after almost 4 days or so but I still feel queasy and finishing this piece I spent some time noodling with in various hotel rooms in Tokyo will hopefully help me draw a line and start fresh. It's such a relief to be done with game work and back to pure freelance! It feels footloose and fancy free to be working on a variety of pieces, to be painting for something where the painting is the finished product itself, to be accountable only to myself and my client again. The game was a phenomenal experience and i'm certain i'll step into that world again but for right now, after 2 years the change of pace is nice.
