I forced myself to take a day off between ongoing client work and paint something for myself. I think I might be the only person to ever paint fanart of "Anti-Raigeki", one of the most specific and arguably useless, but potentially incredibly satisfying cards to exist. I can't imagine the rush of successfully proccing this thing against the omnipresent Raigeki usage in a modern competitive game - the vengeful phantom of a time when the game was young, simultaneously simpler and more arcane.

As to what Anti-Raigeki is - obviously on some level the original card is intended to depict a "lightning rod" of some kind that diverts and reflects the coursing destructive force of Raigeki, but was it manufactured? Conjured? How is it suspended in this infinite galvanic void? Are Anti-Raigeki structures set adrift in space to guard against monstrous floods of lightning from divine bodies? Is it an organism of some kind? Is it merely a conceptual representation of the antithesis of lightning - corpselike, inert, static, meeting the endless living thrash of electricity?
