What's your opinion on Leopaldon?

When Rooflemonger asked Daisuke recently in an interview whether there was any chance Leopaldon might return and Daisuke burst into laughter immediately it deeply and profoundly wounded my spirit....

Being serious, i'm sad that there are very few complete monsters in the last few major playable casts of the bigger fighting game titles. I feel like the art of the wildly overdesigned boss monster character is being lost to time and it breaks my heart. As far back as Xrd it kills me that they had a whole new Justice design and she wasn't even an actual boss, much less playable. True Ogre is never escaping Tag Tournament and Azazel is only allowed to exist as a piggyback to the much more human Zafina. The coolest version of Jinpachi (Chest mouth ver. with the raw flesh look from base Tekken 5) was never officially playable. It's just... sad.

I definitely lost a step there trying to figure out what Leopardon would be returning to. I think he's been spotted in some Spider-Verse comics semi-recently?

but anyway, what these posts make me think about is the slightly weird genre of asymmetrical fighting games, the monster fighters like Red Earth or... I know of at least two others, but the names are hard to come up with, and google isn't helping
