Anonymous User asked:

If fire was edible, what would you want it to taste like?

I think even if it was edible "fire" in and of itself would be like extremely underwhelming texturally and essentially be like one of those gourmet edible foam/bubble experiences, only with a more intense flavour. Fire-adjacent matter though like smouldering coals or magma would be like a deep gamey rich meat spice.

Ok, as someone who has eaten fire this is an incredibly accurate answer. Both taste and smell can only detect chemical particles, not chemical processes. So fire always tastes like an aired down, smoky version of either the thing being burned, or what it turns into when done burning. Typically fire eating is done with white gas, which tastes a little like kerosene smells(not great) so you basically get a smoky not great taste.

BUT, if you were to be burning something like hickory? Probably starts to get closer to BBQ.
