I'm really going to miss what this place became for me, which is the simple joy of social existence in an informal space without any pressure whatsoever, pure enjoyment and voluntary engagement. I actually enjoy my professional face stuff on twitter or wherever, I take pride in advocating for my work and presenting it and etc. but man I really missed also having this sort of environment. I also like getting out of pocket asks lmao. Stuff has been pretty rough lately and this was a quiet room I could go into and sit down for a bit and breathe.

yeah, having a place that was explicitly not public facing like most of the rest of the broader internet was nice for a while. it was a legendary decompress, and i'll miss the atmosphere of "collective sigh" cultivated.
