My insatiable itch for VIDEO GAMING managed to convert sideways into "if I followed along with a Blockbench tutorial, that could count as a type of Bar Go Up" so I spent a bit on that.
The video series I picked out is unfortunately old enough that there's some UI problems to the tune of "that option literally does not exist for me" and that fucked up the texture section, but otherwise it's pretty solid: "LEARN BLOCKBENCH by ArtsByKen (playlist)"
Not done yet but I have most of a snowman modeled, which is more than I could manage before! Bar go up for sure.
And then in a fit of "just five more minutes first" I clicked a completely different tutorial by the same person on an adjacent topic (motion sickness warning on this one, what is that videography) and THAT explained how to do the damn texture stuff the OG tutorials are outdated about, which was maximum offhandedly done in four clicks with barely any explanation and I would never have guessed in a million years.
