Sleepily thinking about content warnings I'd have to put on pics of Longfriend, very delighted to (once again) remember that with most plushies I'd say "it's a plushie though, it's not going to look realistic" but velvet worms really do look like that! Give or take the theoretical plushie-maker aiming for a realistic leg count (I do not blame them if they don't).
Anyways I got distracted. Did you know all velvet worms reproduce sexually except for Epiperipatus imthurni which nobody has ever located males for? They appear to be parthenogenic, and this the most boring velvet worm fact I have available. If I didn't need to do other things today I'd be linking the paper about Euperipatoides rowelli pack dynamics.
