The secret is that, in a move that is merciful only to me and me specifically, the weekly event deadlines are around early afternoon my time, early enough that there is NO HOPE WHATSOEVER of being awake + awake enough to draw/write + having enough hours left to meaningfully work. I am fucking asleep at those hours. So functionally the deadline is whenever I go to bed the night before! This tends to lead to miscreant behavior like staying up late to finish the art/writing, but there is only so late I can stay up, even/especially with ARTPG deadlines.
Compared to the dozen+ miscreants filing in behind me who are why the event instituted a "one hour grace window" I look like a paragon of good deadline behavior.
