I think my favorite part of Paleo Pines color rarity is that they managed to get the odds (imo) right. Common is most common, uncommon you'll see less but still a lot of. Rare is rare inasmuch as if there's a specific one you want it may be a minute, but there can easily be at least a dozen rares up on the map every day. Ultra Rares are kind of bastards, but first of all I suspect a lot of people would complain about everything being "too easy" if there wasn't some <1% lottery for them to enter. Second of all, they're still more fun than shinies in Pokemon.
