YOU TOO HUH. I have a low-contrast darkmode theme I use and I am simply obliterated when I have to look at the default.
I dimly remember the day when AO3 stopped natively offering light vs dark mode and switched to "the visuals formerly known as light mode are the only thing now, but you can have any skin you want, ANY SKIN AT ALL, here's a hundreds-deep public gallery and THIS is the one that looks like our old dark mode" and I sprinted for it with a motivation and speed my PE teachers would have thought me incapable of
And these days AO3 is happy to leave you logged in for an entire presidential term so I never remember Flashbang Mode exists!
