Still mad that in antiquity English did have clearly divided singular/plural you: thou was singular, you was plural. But because our forbearers ditched the wrong one, we can't pull a deantiquify and simply start using them that way again. Rather, you could try, but you'd have to explain it to everyone you meet because they're misconfigured in the only way that defeats English's "just ballpark the correct words/syntax and speakers will understand it" perk.
