me: people think they know what bears look like, but they actually don't. hence, bigfoot sightings.

1000 Bluesky users: if those are actually bears, where are their muzzles and ears? checkmate, athetits: that's a bigfoot. or possibly a silverback gorilla.

I know this chost is about confidently incorrect dumbasses but like, man. I've eyeballed the weird bears and these aren't even that. These are boring regular picturebook bears, just without professional staging. Bears are just like this.

lmao

another personal favorite is whenever the myriad animal/tracks identification subs appear on my reddit feed and it's things like people posting squirrel or bunny tracks - "are these moose tracks?", people posting very obvious, very floofy huskies - "is this a wolf?", or the reddest fox to ever fox, "is this a coyote or a wolf?"

the last one is especially baffling because how do you make it all the way to adulthood without knowing what a fox looks like because they're in like every cartoon and storybook and piece of media involving forest life

someone once told me I'd thought of such a cool way to express genderfluidity, drawing my fursona both with and without antlers, and I had to explain no, that's literally just how antlers work
