The monthly quest prize for Feb '24 is a magic cat that might bring you prizes, and the quest is "write about your kukuri dealing with the magic cat." I want the magic cat, and if I wait until March I can buy them with game-coins, which is neither a meaningful delay for me nor particularly expensive. And I'm tired! Low on juice! Clearly the smart move is to wait.
Except my bastard lightning tapioca volunteered that this quest would totally fit Fen. Apparently Fen is very observant and nice to smaller creatures and would try to humor the magic cat and inadvertently befriend it. But Fen is my only kukuri who isn't playable yet! She got confirmed so it's only a matter of time, but that would be time spent doing an impatient little dance as I waited for her to go through so I could post my entry. And I'm variably patient about most of the delays involved in ARTPGs, but "I finished the work yet I'm not allowed to post it" immediately activates a whole tier of brain-demons. I make a point to avoid painting myself into that corner. But it's the only inspiration I've had and while waiting to just buy one is less effort, it would be fun to get Fen some exp & work on a bit of characterization....
