Gleefully contemplating whether I get to label it "absolute wankery" to stick a Dramatis Personae on my latest ARTPG (written) story. On the one fin, a game mod may consider pitching me into the nearest ocean.
On the other fin, I don't share my ARTPG writing 99% because nobody else has my characters' names and personalities and backstories memorized, and a Dramatis Personae header would be a nice little log propped across that accessibility gap.
As best I can tell this is in fact part of a DP's function: since a lot of stage plays involve characters you don't know know from Joe going in, explicit blurbs/monikers help keep track of everyone & place who they are.
Standalone theater stories are, if anything, the opposite situation from long-running ARTPG character storylines. BUT since my fic all tends to be one-offs done for unrelated prompts, I feel like there's room to do this every once in awhile.
