Thrilled to report that after drafting a Dramatis Personae for my latest story the opening segments turned out to contain absolutely all of the info that would have conveyed, in the most list-adjacent way possible too. So this one doesn't have a DP but only because it would be redundant. (And I even figured out how to put their pictures at the top so you can visualize the characters I'm writing about.)
READ: "Is This A Meet-Cute?" (deviantArt) - 2300 words about wlw romance except make them different kinds of incompetent. Contains non-graphic depiction of a carnivore eating lunch, mentions of bullying/interpersonal violence. (Milder than some nature documentaries though!)
So her patrols were generally quite enjoyable: the peace of the outdoors, interesting plants to catalog, as much greenery as she could eat, and the rare altercation to further cement that nothing for a tremendous distance could truly threaten her.
That confidence was in no short supply the day she sauntered out of a bush to find she was not alone.
