- If you're confused about why this would even exist from a conceptual standpoint, please know that ARTPG players go nuts for fancy gorgeous landscapes to pose their beloved pixel OCs in front of. Especially because many games make a habit of giving you a default wallpaper I would describe as "an Ohio-ass junkbox of random vegetation". Why the fuck would you tolerate that for your prized creature when it could be a cityscape with fireworks or haunted ancient ruins or an active lava field? The good landscape painters love being hired to make cool new ones and the players go wild collecting them.
And no they don't do anything. Literally 0 mechanical game benefit.3 - Ok, fine, the benefit is that ARTPG players are the kind of demographic voted #1 most likely to mess with stuff like pokeball sticker customization. Pretty = good, no further mechanical incentive required.
